The 150-point check is not a quick look under the bonnet: it is a written list our technicians work through and sign, and the report travels with the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we check<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The list follows the way a car is built, from the parts that keep you safe to the ones that keep you comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Brakes, tyres and suspension:<\/strong> disc and pad thickness, tread depth, shock absorbers and every bush we can reach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Engine and gearbox:<\/strong> fluids, belts and leaks, a cold start and a road test of at least 20 km<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Body and glass:<\/strong> paint depth on every panel, chips, corrosion and the state of the seals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electrics and software:<\/strong> the battery, lights, sensors, infotainment updates and any stored fault codes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interior:<\/strong> seats, belts, climate control, windows and the smell test nobody writes down but everyone notices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When something does not pass<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If a part is below our limit, we replace it before the car goes on sale, at our cost. Tyres under 4 mm, brake pads under half their life and any warning light on the dashboard are fixed, not mentioned in the small print.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Electric and hybrid cars get one more page: a battery health certificate read from the car&#8217;s own system, so you know how much range is really left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask to see the report for any car in the inventory.
